Cancelled: TAA Members Star Party

The stars may be aligned, but the weather is not. I regret to announce the cancellation of tonight’s (Jan. 17, 2026) TAA Members Star Party at the Arthur Pursell Observatory (APO).

Dense fog continues in the Tulare area tonight, obscuring the night sky, raining wet drizzle down on our nice telescopes, and endangers our membership travelling to and from the star party.

Club Event: The Tulare Astronomical Association’s monthly “Members Only” Star Party on Saturday, January 17, 2026 (weather permitting) from 5-10 PM at the Arthur Purcell Observatory (APO). Allows old & new members alike to meet, catch-up, show-off new equipment, swap stories, and share their love of Astronomy together.

There is a restroom at our facility. Dress appropriate for the weather, bring water and a chair if you want to sit.
