TAA: Arthur Pursell Observatory Spring Cleaning Workday
This Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9 AM to 3 PM PDT, the TAA is having a spring-cleaning workday at the Arthur Pursell Observatory (APO), 9242 Avenue 184, just south of Tulare, CA. See map here.
Objectives for this spring-cleaning workday at the APO are:

General grounds keeping, weeding, fill-in holes, raking, sweeping, pick-up / haul-off trash & debris

Rust removal from metal observatory steps/landing & repaint

Removal of old, deteriorating TAA sign on exterior wall of classroom

Clean classroom & bathroom

Inventory party materials onsite & plan for our May 9, 2026, TAA Members Star Party & StarBQ (with members photo)

Assess materials needing for future APO repainting & repairs
-
List further objectives for APO fall-cleaning workday
Dress appropriate for the weather & work (hats, gloves, etc.), bring sack lunch/water/snacks, and a chair if you want to sit.
