The Arthur Pursell Observatory is now open for club business.

The TAA held their monthly meeting, at the newly refurbished Arthur Pursell Observatory, Wednesday night. This was the first time the observatory’s, Stan Manro Astro Physics Center, had been used for a meeting since 2004. Greg Eckes opened the meeting with a photo presentation of the APO’s renovation project. The club spent the last five months cleaning, and painting the  Astro Physics center. The photos were taken during the TAA’s work days  from December 2012 through April 2013. Butch Demmers gave an interesting talk on comets. Kimber Glick explained to the group what facts she intended to post on the wall posters she made. Ronnie Rios brought one of his wife’s great desserts. Everyone had a good time. We hope you will join us for our next meeting  June 5th. The Stan Manro Astro Physics Center is now like new on the inside. There is still a lot of work to do. The outside of the building and the dome are next on the list of things to do.
