Solar System Extravaganza

If you want to solve the water problem in California, just schedule a star party. Fortunately the weather looks good for Saturday night. The weather report says that it will be mostly clear.

The theme for Saturday night is our solar system. Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Saturn will all be visible. We will start Outside to spot Mercury and Venus then we will move into the Stan Manor Astro Physics Center at 8:30 PM to present information and photos of the planets. We will explain what you should look for while observing through the telescopes. After the presentation we will go outside for a tour of the constellations followed by observing through the telescopes. We will also look at star clusters and bright galaxies. The event will end at 10:30 PM.

Event fee is $5 per person.
