Septembers Work Day Update

Last Saturday the TAA had another work day at the Arthur Pursell Observatory. The place is slowly coming together. Here is what we got done.

  • Deva single handily cleaned the dome. I mean cleaned it! She literally scrubbed it down and moped it out from top to bottom. I don’t think it has ever been done. The bird smell is gone.  I checked it today after the dust storm and it still looks great.
  • Aaron and I hung up some light screen panels that were taken down months ago to move dirt and put down bark.
  • Nick and Aaron welded the new gates in place. WOW! they really look great.
  • Kimber worked all day on our “Founders Display” It presents a pictorial history of the TAA from 1935to the present. I am really happy with it. Fantastic!
  • Tasheena took pictures and put together our new TAA Facebook organization page. It is looking good!
  • Dean spent the day moving dirt and we finally got out grounds ready for the finish bark. The ground is really smooth and level!

Here are the pictures to prove it.
