Hobby Night at Tulare Farmers Market

Last night was hobby night at the Tulare Farmers Market. The TAA was invited to set up a booth and advertise our club. Marvin Demmers, Mike Lopez, Marty and Joyce Ferguson, Ronnie Rios and myself attended. The crowd wasn’t very large but we had a lot of fun anyway. Ronnie was in his element. I think that he knew everyone that walked down the street. We handed out our new brochures and flyers advertising our club and upcoming “Visual Astronomy Class” starting October 8th. We also told people about our reopening of the Arthur Pursell Observatory to the public on October 12th. Everyone we talked to was excited about that. I think our booth looked pretty nice. All the kids were fascinated with Mike’s telescope. Again it was great fun. The thing I liked best, about the evening, was visiting with club members.

It was fun! We got to listen to some great music by a local band and enjoyed some great camaraderie. It was a little warm due to the humidity, but its the valley you know 🙂
