Astronomical Event

Last total lunar eclipse in our area until Jan 21, 2019!

The best Total Lunar Eclipse in this area is going to take place on the morning of October 8th. This event will be a fund raiser for the Tulare Astronomical Association. All members that have paid their dues will be free. General Public fee is $5.00 per person.

The night will begin October 7th at 10:30 PM. We will be playing a DVD on Lunar Eclipses and other astronomical info. Telescopes will be set out for you to look at stars and other astronomical wonders before the eclipse. This would be a good time to try your hand at astro photography.

Bring a lawn chair (one that reclines would be best), warm cloths, a blanket, binoculars and a non flash camera. You should also have a RED light flashlight (No white light or cell phone flashlights please).

Chanel 47 is going to come and broadcast the event live for the morning show.
