TAA Observing Events This Weekend!

There are two chances this weekend to get under the stars with the Tulare Astronomical Association. Last month some of us attended the TAA star party in California City. Friday night turned out to be the warmest and the best night. Saturday was cold and windy. Sunday was good but very cold. Pena Planetarium Observing

We had a good turn out after the planetarium show last Friday night.   Those who came out enjoyed nice telescopic views of the Orion Nebula, the Moon and planets (Mars, Venus, and Jupiter) and several beautiful star clusters.  It’s always exciting to learn about the universe through books, planetarium shows, and others such sources, but nothing compares to the excitement of experiencing the heavens first hand through a good telescope.  … Read the rest

Cal City Observing
